We went to the gym! For the first time in Chiang Mai. It was a little bit of a walk, but for about £1 entry fee each, not too bad. This did allow us a very guilt free breakfast at Chiang Mai breakfast world; we both ordered what was called the English 'Superior' breakfast. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, baguette, salad, fried potatoes and pork steak. Great after workout meal! Unfortunately neither of us could finish it, but we gave it a good go!

In order to get around in Hanoi, we've decided to hire some scooters to get around a lot easier. However, after researching the general driving vibe, we thought it might be best to get some practice in somewhere a little more calm (at least relatively). So today we went and hired some bikes. Quite a long walk to get there and we explored some of the smaller streets on the way, the length was worth it as the rental place had great reviews (=no reviews mentioned scams!). The bikes were a little more powerful than we were used to. We learned on little 50cc scooters and these were 125cc, so quite a bit more power. And more power means more speed!

We also managed to find a really cool app on the phone which connects to others via wifi so you can use it as an intercom, so we could keep in contact; very useful for the crazy roads when we lost sight of each other.

Then back out in the evening to the favoured food market; given the amount of food there was there, we knew we would find another tasty meal easily enough. We decided to go a little more traditional, with a Thai red and green curry. Absolutely delicious, as per usual. Then we both rounded the meal and evening off nicely with a good old roti!
