Today was a pretty lazy day as we were knackered from all the walking and gymming the day before. After a long lie in, we headed up to explore Kao San road in the daytime and some little markets round there.

The main event was a boat ride down the Chao Phraya river, going past all the Wats and various Riverside hotels, and going to one of the larger, upscale night markets. The Asiatique.

The Asiatique is a large evening market located in the south of Bangkok, pretty much out of the way of everything. It also has Thailand's largest Ferris wheel (although it really isn't that impressive). Overall i don't think we were too blown away with it. Think it wasn't as fancy as some places or as authentic as others, so missed the mark on both.

However, they did have some pretty good food. We had Japanese food at a place called Kacha Kacha Teppanyaki, apparently it's authentic in these types of restaurant for the staff to just shout and chant every so often, not a place for those of a nervous disposition. We shared a pork cutlet and a rice pancake type thing, and that really won the prize. Haven't heard of it before (And don't remember what it was called) but it was great.

We had spotted a chain of dessert parlours floating around, but hadn't gone in... until now. This was the result...
