Today was our last proper day on the bikes, so we wanted to get a longer trip in. We decided on the sticky waterfalls; a set of waterfalls which, because of the mineral deposits, you can walk up fairly easily. However, I hurt my back (add to the list of things i can't do, step over a drain), so thought walking up a waterfall might not be the best idea.

So, instead we found a cafe which overlooks a different waterfall (smaller) and you can lie in hammock type things.

As per usual, first stop was breakfast. Back to a favourite of ours, the Overstand coffee house. Good iced coffees and nice breakfasts. A set of Aussies in there as well, always interesting to overhear conversations. Glad I didn't come on my own or stay much in hostels and have to make friends; they sounded like twats.

A good length drive today, just over an hour each way. So we set up google maps and the intercom and off we went.

We planned a stop about 3/4 of the way, just get some water etc., so we stopped at a place called the Zombie Cafe (cool right). However, it turns out they either didn't serve coffee, weren't open or didn't want to serve us (couldn't understand a word, just knew they weren't taking my money). So we decided just to finish off the ride and get to the Cafe.

In turns out that Jungle de Cafe was part of a large zip wire and general flying-through-the-air-y type resort. The Cafe itself was a little more touristy than we were expecting, more about the view and the novelty of the net hammock type things.

We did get quite a good seat, overlooking the waterfall, which was quite a nice spot, even if a little bit ruined by other annoying tourists (which we are totally not). We got ourselves some iced coffees and just sat, drunk and read for a few hours. Once the noise died down a little, it was quite relaxing.

Very cleverly, but completely accidentally, we headed back to the apartment just before rush hour. Whilst we were a little more confident, don't want to push our luck. The drive back was a bit more hectic. but just keeping our eyes open and being sensible was fine. Everyone who writes about how dangerous it is driving out here must just be a bit of a wuss.

When dinner time rolled around, we went out to try somewhere new and found a really highly rated restaurant called Nun's, it was just her cooking and serving in a small place with about 12 seats in it. The food here was probably some of the best we've had since we've been in Thailand. I had a Pad Thai, Kiwi soda and Mango Lassi; Hannah had a Khao Soi (sweet and sour soup) and a Mango lassi; and we shared a papaya salad. Delicious, although the Mango Lassis were very necessary as the food was generously spiced!
