Luang Prabang is a town in Laos famous for being a UNESCO heritage site, due to their culture, history and buildings.

As such, as you can imagine, there's not a huge amount going on. Which is so fine. After the 90 mph journey that was Thailand, it's nice to take things slow. As such, a large part of the time in LP (soooo local) was spent in cafes, drinking awesome coffee, and in restaurants, eating awesome food.

Therefore, the next few posts are going to be a bit shorter. Because as nice as it was to relax, read and drink for us; it doesn't exactly make for super exciting reading.

Today was just spent walking around the main part of LP, walking alongside the Mekong river. It really isn't a very big place. It took us 3 hours to circumnavigate, which include a 45 minute coffee break and an hour lunch break. We really just wanted to get a view of LP, as well as scout out our favourite POC's (points of consumption). Inevitably there were a few Wats along the way too.

Later on that evening we headed to a very local restaurant, always good for nice food for at really good prices. Hannah had a traditional Laos sausage (no sniggering) and I went for a fried rice. Because of the French influence, they had quite a few nice bakeries and patisserie, so we headed to one of those for a nice bit of dessert.
