After now feeling a little better we wanted to see the Chatuchak weekend market, one of the biggest markets in Thailand.

We got a taxi there, as it was reasonably far aware and went in for an explore. For a market, and a weekend one at that, it was really well put together. Proper little shops selling all sorts, from cooking and kitchen stuff to clothes to antiques. Really nice to see a local market that really wasn't meant to cater to tourists.

We would later find out that this wasn't the weekend market, but a nearby mall.

This is was the weekend market looked like (PHOTOS)

It was huge, those pictures were probably 2 lanes, each section had 20 lanes and there were 29 sections. The current total is 15,000 stalls.

After quite a lot of walking, not just today but since we've got here we've done over 50 miles (each, not between us), we thought a rest was in order, and as we were still recovering from WaterGate (not that one). In the evening, our last in Bangkok, we wanted to mark it with something special.

So we (Hannah) found an awesome rooftop bar/restaurant to go have some food and drinks. We decided on the Speakeasy in the Hotel Muse, on the 24th floor. We sat out on one of the table right at the edge to get the best view, which was great.

*don't know if you can see, but on top of the small building in front of us, is someones bedroom which we could totally see into. luckily they weren't home doing something illicit.

First drink we order were (Me) the Siam Crush and Shake the Passion (Hannah). They were really good, mine had a little thai spiciness to it and Hannah's was refreshing, fruity and delicious apparently - basil, passionfruit, lime and honey were a good mix.

Dinner we both, whilst still very much sticking to not having McDonalds etc., had burgers. They were Waygu beef (or they said they were, we don't believe them) with Parmesan and truffle oil chips. Delicious, exactly what the doctor ordered.

We had a few more drinks, I had a Six Revive (which was a little disappointing) and Hannah won the round with a Speakeasy Gin and Tonic, which actually contained: Gin infused with butterfly pea, lychee, apple, aloe vera juice and tonic. As if G&T's weren't haughty enough already.

After a really nice evening, we thought it was the right time to go home. It was late... we had to be at the airport at 11am (we've barely managed to be out of bed at that time)... and neither of us had actually packed yet. That was a really sensible thought, however we accidentally wound up visiting another infamous area in Bangkok, Nana Plaza, y'know, to see what the fuss was about...
